For hotelgoers who long for a stunning first look inside their hotels, here is a map of some of the most beautiful lobbies in Washington, D.C. The hotels, which have been ordered from west to east, are mostly located near Downtown, with inclusions like The Mayflower Hotel and The St. Regis.

Once known as The Carlton Hotel, this project is located only two blocks away from the White House and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Dating back to the 1920s, the interior of this hotel has been maintained as one of the most luxurious-looking locations in the hotel with beamed ceilings, chandeliers, and red furniture and draped curtains.

It was in 1990 when this high-rise hotel became famous for then-Mayor Marion Barry getting arrested on drug charges. Despite the scandal, this hotel is still notable for its beautiful atrium lobby, great central location, and amenities.

This 317-room hotel is located in a Beaux Arts building that dates back to the 1920s. W Washington, D.C. is known for being a great place for grabbing a drink at the rooftop deck.
